British boxer Anthony Joshua Released from Hospital in Lagos Following Tragic Road Accident

Olympic gold medalist Anthony Joshua has been released from care, Nigerian authorities stated on Wednesday night. The 36-year-old was part of a serious road collision outside Lagos on Monday, a horrific crash that claimed the lives of two of his valued colleagues.

Recovering from Minor Injuries

The sports star had remained in the hospital while recuperating from non-critical injuries, his promoter confirmed on Monday. The commissioner for information and strategy, Gbenga Omotoso, confirmed in an update online that Joshua was declared medically stable to “recuperate at home”.

“Joshua and his mother were at the funeral home in Lagos this afternoon to offer their condolences to his two departed friends as they were being prepared for repatriation,” the official remarked.

A Tribute to the Fallen

Those who lost their lives were confirmed to be Latif Ayodele, Joshua's trainer, and Sina Ghami, a strength and conditioning coach. It was also noted that the athlete was heartbroken and deeply emotional over the loss of his two dear friends.”
