FC Barcelona to Host Historic Fixture at Upgraded Camp Nou this Saturday
The club confirmed their first game will take place at the still-under-construction Camp Nou on Saturday. They will welcome the Bilbao team in La Liga over two years following their departure for construction to commence.
“We envisioned this comeback. The moment has arrived. Home again at Spotify Camp Nou.”
Attendance will be limited though over 45,000 attendees are permitted inside as per the current authorization. After final construction, it will accommodate over 104,000 attendees, up from the previous 99,000. Barça announced recent additions comprise an updated entryway for the team along with upgraded changing facilities.
Preparatory Events
The club conducted an open training session at the Camp Nou on 7 November. Officials stated approval is being pursued from European football’s governing body to host the next European match against Eintracht Frankfurt in December in the renovated venue. Their recent games have been held in the temporary ground.
