The former president's Family Member Gets Expert Guidance from Golf Legend Woods Prior to LPGA Debut
The rising star has considerable online audience
The young golfer will have plenty of prominent supporters when she begins her first LPGA appearance later this week.
The 18-year-old athlete, who happens to be connected to Donald Trump, received a special exemption to play at the Annika tournament in Florida.
Her grandfather, an avid golfer, operates numerous international courses and regularly matches against Kai.
"He's fairly competent. I can't say much but we play tight competitions," she revealed.
Kai explained that Trump, who cannot attend, advised her: "Simply don't get nervous."
"My grandpa practically suggested to go out there and have fun," she continued.
"In my eyes, he's just a normal grandpa. He can't make it for the tournament. He's busy with world affairs, so he's rather occupied."
Being non-professional, the golfer has played in just three tournaments recently and holds position 461 in AJGA rankings.
However she's able to get advice from 15-time major champion, romantically involved with Vanessa.
"He represents the best player globally," the young golfer said.
"Furthermore, he's an even better human being. He advised me to go out there, relax, following whatever happens."
The golfer will compete against several most prominent players in the sport at the competition, such as world number two Nelly Korda, England's golfer Hull, Lexi Thompson and last year's winner Lilia Vu.
Officials mentioned that Kai's presence brings golf to wider groups, particularly among youth audiences.
Kai maintains substantial online presence and recently launched an exclusive fashion and living brand.
Her first tee time at 5:30 PM GMT.
